UNC GM Michael Lombardi Resigns As School Investigation Continues

The university's active investigation into an employee human resources complaint will continue despite the departure of college football's highest-paid general manager.

Bill Belichick's right-hand man Michael Lombardi is out, with the North Carolina GM resigning one game into the season amid an internal investigation.

Lombardi had been on paid leave since July. Investigators are reportedly asking questions about accusations of drug use by Belichick, as well as inquiring about inappropriate relationships in the football program.
