White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt to leave job at month's end, Trump says

Few figures in the Trump administration have been as visible — or loyal — as Karoline Leavitt.

President Trump said that Ms. Leavitt, who recently gave birth to her second child, would be leaving to spend time with her family.

Trump’s departing press secretary became a frequent messenger–and sometimes a market-moving one–for the administration’s corporate agenda.

The departures have ranged from political disagreements and leadership controversies to investigations and personal reasons. The latest high-profile exit is White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who is set to leave at the end of August.

Leavitt, 28, just recently returned to the White House after taking a brief leave for the birth of her second child in May.

Leavitt returned from maternity leave in June following the birth of her second child.

Leavitt, 28, is the youngest person to serve in the role. She will leave the Trump administration at the end of the month.
