Thousands of Australians to receive official government letter on dementia risk in new prevention push

Thousands of letters from the federal government will be sent to older Australians warning them they are at a higher risk from a leading killer.

Hundreds of thousands of Aussies are due to receive a letter telling them how to be on the lookout for an increasingly common disease.

The Federal Government is sending letters to 340,000 Australians who turned 50 in the past year, urging them to take action now to reduce their risk of developing the disease.
