Passenger Describes Chaos Aboard FlyDubai Flight

A plane plummets over 5km but is saved from disaster by passengers who take control. How they did it raises further questions.

Passengers and crew members survived terrifying mid-air moments to save flight FZ1073 from disaster.

Passengers have described the terrifying plummet that saw the jet descend nearly 14,000 feet in less than 30 seconds and the cockpit scrum that helped the flydubai flight land safely.

The passenger, Miriam Ohayon, said people on board felt the jet lose control and heard screams. “When they opened the cockpit, there was a lot of blood,” she told Israeli television.
