Spotify Creates New ‘AI Personas’ Label To Flag AI-Generated Artists

An “AI Persona” badge will be added to some profiles from next month, and music from AI personas will not be included in any editorial or algorithmic recommendations

Music streaming service Spotify has announced it is introducing a feature that will enable listeners to see if an artist is AI-generated.

The human creators behind AI-generated profiles are encouraged to voluntarily identify themselves. If they don’t, the streaming platform says it has a plan to catch them.

People will have the opportunity to self-disclose with an "AI Persona" badge. Otherwise, the streaming giant will start identifying and tagging relevant profiles
