‘My husband was made the scapegoat,’ wife of Indian captain held in Britain speaks out over Russia sanctions breach case

Arrested Indian merchant navy officer's wife alleged that her husband was made a ‘scapegoat’ as her husband awaits trial in Britain over Russia's shadow fleet.

Ritu Pant said her husband sounded devastated when she first spoke to him after his arrest, “He was broken and he was just crying.”
