Flash flooding interrupts half-marathon, submerges cars

Julia Cairns tells The National about the moment she ran a half-marathon partially submerged in water due to flash floods in Paramus, New Jersey.

Parts of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut were hit by flash flooding, leading to water rescues, stranded motorists and half-marathon runners battling the floodwaters.
