Canada’s deportation drive hits Indians hard: 3,323 sent back so far this year — Inside the sharp rise since 2021

Data released by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) shows that the number of Indians deported between January and June this year has already reached nearly 88% of the 3,779 removals recorded throughout 2025, which was previously the highest annual figure.

The data comes at a time when Canada has been tightening its immigration system and reducing the number of temporary residents, including international students and temporary foreign workers
